Why It's Different

Not the Same as Cleaning a Car

An aircraft cabin takes the same punishment as a high-end car interior and then some — heavy use in a confined space, delicate leather and veneer, and an expectation that it looks immaculate every time someone steps aboard. That part translates directly from what we already do: deep interior cleaning, leather care, extraction, and finishing surfaces properly rather than wiping them over.

The exterior is where aircraft differ most. Many airfields restrict water run-off, which is why dry and waterless washing is standard practice on aprons and in hangars. There are also areas that simply aren't touched during cleaning, and products that a given operator or airfield will and won't allow. None of that is guesswork — it gets confirmed in writing before work is agreed.

How much does aircraft detailing cost?
Every aircraft is quoted individually — price on application. Type, size, condition, what's included and where the work can be carried out all change the job significantly, so a fixed price list wouldn't mean much. Tell us what you have and we'll come back with a written quote.
Do you use a dry wash or a wet wash?
Either, depending on what the airfield allows. Many hangars and aprons restrict water run-off, in which case a dry or waterless wash is the practical option. Where a wet wash is permitted and appropriate, that's available too. It's agreed before the work is scheduled.
What does an interior detail involve?
Cabin interiors are the most common request — leather seating cleaned and conditioned, carpets deep cleaned and extracted, trim, tables and panels detailed, and glass finished. It's the same deep-clean discipline we apply to high-end car interiors, with products appropriate to the surfaces.
Which airfields do you cover?
Bournemouth and the surrounding Dorset and south coast airfields. Access, permitted products and where work can be carried out are set by the airfield or the operator, so those get confirmed with you before anything is booked in.
Can you polish the exterior?
Brightwork and painted surfaces can be discussed as part of a quote. Aircraft surfaces have specific handling requirements and restricted areas, so the scope is always agreed in writing with you and the operator first rather than assumed.
Do you work on light aircraft as well as jets?
Yes — enquiries are welcome for light aircraft, turboprops and business jets. Smaller GA aircraft are often the most straightforward to schedule.
