The Difference

Why the Method Matters

A full valet is the complete job — the deep interior clean and the full exterior process, start to finish. What separates it from a quick wash isn't the products, it's the order and the care.

Almost every swirl mark on a used car was put there during washing: by an automatic rollover, by a sponge holding grit, or by a single bucket that turned into dirty water halfway round. Wash a car properly and you clean it without damaging it. Wash it carelessly and you create a paint correction job.

Most swirl marks are put in during washing. A sponge holds grit against the paint and drags it around; so does an automatic rollover wash. Every full valet we do starts with a snow-foam pre-wash to lift that grit off the surface, then a two-bucket contact wash with grit guards so what comes off the car doesn't go back on it.

The Process

How We Do a Full Valet

Wheels, arches and tyres first

The dirtiest parts of the car are done first, with their own dedicated tools and brushes so brake dust and road grime never make it near the paintwork.

Snow-foam pre-wash

The car is covered in thick foam that dwells, softens road film and lifts grit off the surface. This is rinsed away before anything makes physical contact with the paint.

Two-bucket contact wash

A clean mitt, one wash bucket, one rinse bucket, both on grit guards, working top-down in straight lines. Dirt that comes off the car stays off the car.

Decontamination

Chemical and mechanical decontamination removes bonded contaminants — iron fallout, tar and industrial fallout — that a normal wash leaves behind and that you can feel as roughness in the paint.

Interior deep clean

The full interior process: compressed air through every crevice, fabric shampooed and hot water extracted, all surfaces cleaned and dressed with the correct products.

Protection and final inspection

Safely dried with plush towels, then a wax or sealant applied for protection, tyres dressed, glass cleaned, and the whole car checked over in good light before handover.

Full Valet FAQs

What does a full valet actually include?
The complete deep interior clean — compressed air, shampoo and hot water extraction — plus the full exterior process: snow-foam pre-wash, two-bucket contact wash, wheels, arches and tyres, decontamination, and a wax or sealant for protection. Inside and out, done properly.
How long does a full valet take?
Typically 3–5 hours depending on vehicle size and condition. We deliberately limit how many cars we take on in a day, because the only way to hit this standard is to give each one the time it needs.
Why does the snow foam step matter?
Because most swirl marks are put into paint during washing. Snow foam lifts grit off the surface before anything physically touches the car. Skipping it and going straight in with a sponge is how paint gets scratched — which is then a paint correction job to fix.
What is the two-bucket method?
One bucket holds clean soapy water, the other is purely for rinsing the mitt, and both sit on grit guards. Dirt that comes off the car is trapped in the rinse bucket instead of being carried back onto the paint on the next pass.
Do you offer a cheaper quick wash?
No. We only do deep, full-process work. A quick wash done badly costs you more in the long run, because the swirl marks it leaves need machine polishing to remove.
Will a full valet remove scratches and swirl marks?
No — that's a different service. A full valet cleans and protects, and will make the car look dramatically better, but swirls and scratches sit in the clear coat and can only be removed by machine polishing. If your paint is swirled, look at Stage 1 paint enhancement.
Do you need water and electricity on site?
Yes — both need to be available at the address. We bring everything else, including all products and equipment.
